Ovopur Water Filter

December 22, 2009

When you’re ready to graduate from your Brita Filter, Ovopur may be the next step. At $650, it’s expensive, but a great piece of sculpture that requires no electricity to provide purified water. Using gravity to dispense water, the porcelain, glass, and metal purifier uses activated carbon and micro-porous bioceramics in a filtration cartridge to turn make tap water as pur as can be. The whole thing holds up to 11 liters of water, and the company, Aquaovo, sells affordable filter cartridges (which can be recycled!).

Yes, the price is unfortunate, but maybe after you read this post at the groovygreen blog about bottled water, it won't hurt so much!
