Vadim Kibardin's Black and White OLED Clock

July 21, 2009

Vadim Kibardin’s design for a light-sensitive, minimalist digital clock is so simple and ingenious, I’m left wondering why no one has thought of it before.  Though still in a concept phase as Vadim is looking for manufacturers, the Black and White Clock is "only figures, no case, only the necessary - only accurate time." Each numerical digit has a self-contained power supply and is illuminated using Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs). A light sensor will switch the numbers’ colors from white to black depending on the time of day.
