Botanist Series by Orange 22: design for good

November 17, 2008

Orange22 invited some of the world’s most well-known designers (including Yves Behar and Karim Rashid) to transform a blank canvas (a steel bench) into a unique piece whose proceeds would benefit the charity of their choice. The line, called Botanist, ranges in color and pattern, providing a diverse array of styles and statements, all of which fund worthy causes. Some of my favorites: Kahi Lee’s "blown dandelion" pattern which benefits the Cancer Research Institute, and Claude Zellweger’s "No Ornamentation" bench which benefits Architecture for Humanity.
