10,000 Reasons: Add Your Voice

The Copenhagen Climate Change Conference begins December 7th, just a few weeks from now. 192 nations of the world, IGOs, NGOs and the press will gather to talk about the problems and potential solutions to climate change.
It’s a massively complicated issue and the meetings will likely end without answers and actions as definitive as many of us hope for. But there is hope. As reported in The Washington Post, President Obama has come “tantalizingly close to saying what the rest of the world has been waiting years to hear: that next month the United States, the largest per capita emitter of greenhouse gases, will finally come to the table with a specific carbon reduction target.”
This is good news, but we need to do more. The U.S. delegation and other of the world’s leaders need to hear your views about the threat of global warming. Today I received an email from Environmental Defense Fund inviting us to share our thoughts through its Facebook page which they will then share with key members of Congress and the White House. View EDF’s step-by-step instructions on how to post.
Then do it. Copy your post here so we can all share.
Here’s what I wrote: Our precious blue and green orb floating in space desperately needs our help. We haven’t a choice.
