Phonstop Ceiling and Wall Tiles

February 17, 2010

Phonstop
ceiling and wall tiles do the things that acoustical tiles are supposed to do.

They provide exceptional acoustical properties to reduce noise, reverberation and echo. Install directly to wall and ceiling surfaces to achieve a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) up to 0.90, or use any standard 15/16” ceiling grid system for high-performance sound absorption and a NRC up to 0.70.

The tiles are impact, temperature, moisture, mold, pressure and acid resistant. They can be custom colored on site, achieve a seamless monolithic look with Phonstop primer and plaster, are easy to saw, drill, sand and clean – will withstand power washing. The panels offer two edge options; one face features chamfer beveled edges, while the reverse face has square edges. Use them inside or out.

Best of all they are made from 100 percent recycled glass that has been sintered to form rigid, non-fibrous, lightweight, durable and porous tiles. Manufactured by Pinta Acoustics, Phonstop tiles contribute to numerous LEED credits.
