Greenbuild 2009 - Already!!

You’ve hardly had time to unpack. Is it really too early to begin planning for Greenbuild 2009? Not according to the Program Committee (of which I am a member), which recently sent out the Call for Session Proposals. USGBC members received an email on November 21 with all details, or you can access the forms and information online.

The deadline to submit is 5:00pm PST, Friday, January 16, 2009. Why so soon? It’s a time-consuming process to whittle more than 1000 submittals down to the 100 or so sessions that will constitute Greenbuild’s educational offerings in Phoenix. There’s a rigorous three-level review by subject matter experts (see below) to be accomplished before the final program is posted online in June.

The Program Committee will offer a webinar on December 17 at 1 p.m. EST to clarify the process and give clarity to submitters for maximum success. Check the website for log in details.
