News You Can Use
I begin my day the same way every business day – by checking the web sites that keep me current in the design and green worlds. I’ve actually set them up to appear in my inbox so there’s no escaping – I deal with them or they quickly clog me up. It only takes a few minutes, yet the benefits are terrific.
Here goes. First stop is a newspaper. I go to the New York Times but you can subscribe to just about any publication online. I signed up for delivery of a “Daily Headlines” and “Alerts” email in specific subjects – such as the environment (of course) – up to 20.
Next, I love my daily dose of Ideal Bite, a website that’s a “sassier shade of green,” that offers “bite-size ideas for greener living." The daily tips touch on subjects from food and drink – organic wine anyone? – to the best low VOC paints. The tips have a “Wanna Try” section with direct links to terrific resources. It takes me about 30 fun-filled seconds to read and enjoy.
As a member of ASID I get Design Daily delivered to my inbox every weekday. The service, in affiliation with US News & World Report, gathers news from print and broadcast sources tailored to my interests – sustainability (of course), business, the economy. Great reason to join!
Finally, on Mondays I look forward to my weekly email from GREENBUZZ, a free e-newsletter with the latest news on business and the environment, plus links to lots more.
You should also include, well, ME. Blog with me – I’ll be posting three times a week – so check in and let me know what’s on your mind.
