Yellow, Blue, Grey

I'm constantly inspired by the things I see around me. It's what makes me tick! I keep on seeing a new perspective on industrial. The perfect example are these industrial looking lamps from Muuto called UNFOLD. They are a fun take on an old industrial lamp, but this one is actually made of soft silicone rubber and folds down to a flat-ish form which makes it easy to ship. It is utilitarian, but the material and colors put a new fun spin on it.
The second thing I want to point out are the color choices: yellow, blue, and grey (they have more colors but I picked these ones). It is a bit garish, but in a very good way and it happens to be my color combo "du jour." It all started with a very new love affair with this vibrant blue and then the addition of grey and yellow make it sooooooo gooooood! The grey is a nod to that sober utilitarian industrial feel and it works best when it is very flat (no glossy please).
The last image is of a room that we finished that sports this color combo. I promise there is some yellow in the room, too, you just can't see it in the picture so you will just have to trust me on this one. ;)
