Pierre-Yves Rochon Loves to Sketch

I must admit that I am forever a student: I love to learn. During my travels, I've come across numerous inspiring interior details by some legendary designers. Inspiration continues to flow as the time ticks away.

One recent inspiration was sketched by our own studio's leading star, Mr. Pierre-Yves Rochon in Paris. Mr. Rochon assures with his credible décor that is consistently hailed throughout his numerous global hospitality projects.

His style focuses on comfort, and provides an atmosphere of privileged and nurtured experiences. When he sketches, he envisions entirely what the travelers will see, hear, smell, touch, and taste. This is an important process every designer should attempt when sketching initial concepts. It's a perfect example of a balancing act, of translating the big picture through tiny décor details.

Mr. Rochon cares about not only how guests feel but also how they might utilize the designs. Equally important, his details are neurotically detailed to be operational friendly and universally efficient. I love the result: beautifully disguised efficient functionalities.
