Christmas is upon us... get crafty!

Yes, its that season again and as usual I'm a bit late getting into the Christmas spirit - the tree and decorations only went up on December 18th! I'm not one who gets their Christmas shopping done in June (its just not my style), but I'm in full swing now.

I recently visited the Anthropologie store in Chelsea NYC and was so delighted by their Christmas decorations that I think I missed the merchandise (which I was probably supposed to be looking at.) This store is CRAFTY and gorgeous and I got butterflies in my stomach very similar to the ones I experienced feeling "boy" love for the first time many years ago. Yeah the decorations are THAT good ;)

I've been reading Amy Sedaris's new book - Simple Times - Crafts for Poor People and I'd like to say that this is possibly the funniest coffee table book I will ever own, and although her crafting projects are hideous, it does remind us that there is immense beauty in things handmade.
