Design to Die For

Dane Jacob Jensen coffin

Life's a funny thing; death, not so much. Everyone has to go at some point though, so even if we dont like to think about it, the end is inevitable.

I dont want to be buried; just a simple cremation for me and feel free to share my organs with those who need them.

Maybe the idea of a coffin is so ghastly to me because for some reason I have only ever seen really ugly ones. You know I'm not a "woodsy" person anyway so the thought of a highly polished death bed with red velvet inside just "kills" me.

I was reading design boom and saw their post on these beautiful simple modern coffins and thought I'd like to share. The contemporary eco coffins (made out of sustainable birch plywood instead of precious hardwoods) by Dane Jacob Jensen put a new fresh twist on being put to rest. They even have cremation urns...I wonder if they make them in hot pink?
