Season to Celebrate: Hall of Fame and Best of Year

It's getting to be that exciting time of year! Four BIG BIG reasons to celebrate: Thanksgiving, Hall of Fame, Best of Year, and Christmas. I'm resting up a bit now so I will be fully charged for these celebrations.

The Interior Design Hall of Fame and the Best of Year on December 1 and 2 are two very special occasions for me and I have been lucky enough to have attended for the last 5 years. They are two very different evenings in which designers are acknowledged for extraordinary work.

This year's inductees into the Hall of Fame are Shigeru Ban of Shigeru Ban Architects; Neil Denari of Neil M. Denari Architects; and Karim Rashid of Karim Rashid Inc., and Paige Rense, who will be awarded the 2010 Design Icon Award. Cindy Allen always put on a spectacular Oscar-worthy presentation and I am excited to see this year's inductees come to life on the stage and screen at the Waldorf Astoria.

The Best of Year this year is being held at the IAC building designed by Frank Gehry on December 2nd. We are super excited that our townhouse project that we completed this year has been nominated for the Residence - Urban House.
