Yves Klein Blue
I've maintained for quite a while that I don't like royal blue. It just always seemed like a gauche, crass kind of color. How can a person have such strong feelings towards a color? Strange I know, but I have a lot of opinions on this subject.
As it happens, I've changed my mind and I am trying to think how I am now a great lover of this aquatic hue. I have a client who had a clear blue sweater and I would always wonder how I liked this sweater on her when it is in a color that irks me. Then the same client has a blue chair that I had to work into a room. Yikes! An all-grey room was going to be ruined by the additiion of a blue chair but instead of hating it, I loved it. It was an unexpected addition for me. Thanks to Kirsten, I am now in the midst of designing a bedroom in royal blue...I mean the entire room is royal blue. I even tried to push a entire living room in this color on her but we wisely reverted back to simple grey which I think was a good move.
Sorry, royal blue, for all the hating. I'm looking forward to lots of experimentation with you.

Did you cdosiner (i'm sure you did) that the name Yves Klein Blue' is a bit of a tongue twister and fiddly one to spell?I wonder how many people would cdosiner tweeting, only to refrain because the name was just too complicated to print.
