Urinals All Around, Please

I have plenty of friends who have boys and, when I visit their homes, I avoid the kids bathrooms and usually head straight for the master bath when I need to use the bathroom. I would think that with a little "pistol" to pee out boys might be able to aim for the 11-inch diameter hole that is the toilet. I don't have boys, so its all a mystery to me. When designing the townhouse (which not only graces the cover of this month's Interior Design, but also has a delicious 12-page spread--yes, I counted), we knew we needed to face some real toilet facts: boys can't aim into toilets. Since my clients Paige and JC have three boys, it was immediately decided that urinals would grace the walls of the bathrooms. This beautiful little rain drop shaped number is from Duravit through AF Supply.

I love the way this one is placed so prominently...like a shrine I suppose...to the porcelain gods.
