Hunting Without Hurting

September 18, 2010

Ghislaine Vinas Hallie BurtonI'm not a big one for hunting unless you are referring to "hunting" for treasures in a vintage store, at garage sales or in a good design store. Collections fascinate me, and I enjoy collaborating with clients to create a collection. Sometimes the client may have a collection they have started, and we will edit it and figure out how to display it, and other times we start a collection from scratch just for fun.

For a Hudson Valley weekend house in upstate New York, we decided that it would be fun to install some trophy heads. Animal loving client and designer agreed that no shots should be fired, or no arrows should be released for this installation so instead, we scoured the internet hunting down faux deer and buck heads.
