Truncheon Light

If you follow my blog, you might have noticed that I've been posting about lighting a lot. The reason is I am in the midst of selecting lighting for an ridiculously amazing residential project I am working on in collaboration with architect David Hotson. I am up to my neck in lighting options and have to whittle things down before I present to my clients. But, in the meantime, I coming across a lot of designs I love. Case in point: the Truncheon Suspended Light by Commonwealth (Zoe Coombes and David Boira are the duo behind Commonwealth) and manufactured by Mattermade. The Truncheon is the simplest of weapons and that's exactly what this light is all about: simple, solid design. The design is available as a desk lamp or a freestanding lamp that you rest against a wall, but my favorite is the suspended light.
