When I was a teenager living in South Africa, my parents let me re-design my bedroom. I selected a chocolate-brown, velvet bed, bedside table, and vanity with white laminate tops on the bedside table and vanity, a chocolate-brown, shag carpet (which I raked on a daily basis) and caramel-colored drapes with sillouettes of bare trees in chocolate brown. The walls, my desk, and all my accents were stark white. On my bedside table was a KD-27 table lamp by Joe Colombo for Kartell, circa 1967. I can let go of the brown velvet furniture and the drapes, but if only I could just get that lamp back. Available from Design Addict for 400 euros.
I have a black one if interested
