Hudson Contemporary Art Museum

June 9, 2010

The other day, I wrote an email to Mitch and aired all my frustrations about the house; it was quite impressive if I must say so myself. I gave him a deadline: Labor Day weekend. I explained how I must be able to move things in before that date, etc. I was firm, definitive, assertive, and clear, but not too threatening. I am certain I got the message across! Looking back it might have been a little stronger had I not signed it "Love, Paul," but in our phone conversation following he said he understood and that I was absolutely correct and justified in my demands. No problem with the scheduling says he. Let's see!

Cy Twombly

I will for sure be up there this weekend, but don't get too excited about any new photographs. I don't think there really is anything new to take a picture of. According to Mitch, he has been working on the inside of the house. I appreciate minimal photography, but just how many shots can you take of a wall and its new taping. Perhaps if I bring a pencil with me I can do my own version of a Cy Twombly, or with some colored pencils, a Sol Lewitt. A temporary contemporary art museum right there in Hudson. Look, our Frank Gehry!
