My Dutch cousin, Leonie, and family are staying with us this week from Zurich. She showed me something that really intrigued me.
I like reconsidering tradition, and thats exactly what Dutch designer Richard Hutten does with his rugs which he unveiled at Object Rotterdam earlier this year. This series, "Playing with Tradition," starts with some fringe and a traditional pattern and then morphs into a stripe. It’s really clever and very beautiful, don’t you think?
