No Gathering Storms

I would like to say that the mistake made regarding the paint specification on my last blog was intentional. I could say that I did it to see who was paying attention, who was reading my blogs and exactly how much information was being absorbed. Were that the case, Jayne, you would go to the head of the class. It was you who questioned the number. In the written email words of Benjamin Moore, “there is not nor was there ever a number 8229 in the B/M color line. ¡Que Verguenza! The correct paint spec. is Janovic Color Authority 1320 Color Collection number 8229.

Now that I have come clean, I can go on with blogging. I was at the construction site last week and saw the first stages of what is to be my fireplace, the heart and soul of the house—very exciting even in the raw stages. This week, Mitch said he would have the I-beams up that will be the mantle and legs. I’ve ordered the wood cladding, but that will take several more weeks. Only the chain mesh curtain to be ordered and then just one match away from Home Sweet Home. Of course, glass in the windows and doors would be great, but you can’t have everything. The good news is that I don’t see any storm clouds on the horizon.
