It’s so great having a famous photographer cousin, even her snapshots of the house look like art—well, kind of. When we were there together, both with cameras in hand, I followed her around, and wherever she stopped to shoot, I did the same. Somehow it didn’t quite work, hers still look so much better. Not quitting my day job!

The glass is installed in most of the windows, but, as you can see, there is still no glass in the doors; for that matter, there are no doors. I don’t know what happened to them but there must be an explanation. I do remember contractor Mitch mentioning something about having to take them back to the shop, but I don’t recall why. As we are soon to enter our third year in construction, what’s a few more months! I do believe I am safe in saying that 2010 will be the move-in year, but which season, still not sure.

I received this image from Karen Rogers at Lee/Jofa. Do you think it was her way of telling me that I am taking myself a little too seriously? Perhaps I am going too heavy on enforcing my design decisions?

Now we are talking. This looks like a real house minus the glass doors. Not quite ready to move in but I do smell bar-b-que.
