New Kid

February 24, 2010

Okay, it’s not as though I enjoy showing you the same exterior shots but there just isn’t enough new work on the inside to photograph. Although these pictures are new and show a different side of the house, they still look like all the others. I will do what I can to keep the writing fresh. I guess that means I should stop complaining about the progress.

My recent visit to Rizzoli’s Book Store found me in the decorative arts department, strange as that may be. I couldn’t help but notice the abundance of autobiographical decoration books by several of my colleagues. I have to admit I have thought about writing my own book from time to time but dismissed it. Now perhaps were I still in therapy this could be fodder for months and months of discussion, but I’m not, so let’s not. I don’t think I could do it without at least some sense of humor. Perhaps an intellectual dissertation on the genesis and evolution of Brokeback Manor would be in order. Sounds like a bestseller to me, perhaps even a movie option. Watch out celebrity decorators, there’s a new kid in town.
