Saint Verde Digest

May 10, 2009

While doing some research, I stumbled across a truly inspiring blog I want to share. It turns out that Neville Trickett of Saint Verde Digest is from Durban South Africa, where I spent my formative years. This man is an amazingly talented curator of images. He establishes side-by-side images, which together create a little portal into this creative genius’s mind. I am thrilled to share this snippet of his blog and hope you will wonder through his other posts and be as fully inspired as I am.

Ed not sure if you remember me, but I itnerned for you at the ETC back in 1995. You may remeber me as Lori Whitson back then. Wait, I just remembered that you sang at my wedding, so you might remember that (although I had completely forgotten til just now). It's been a while. We just celebrated our 15th anniversary on June 8. Anyway, I was just in Knoxville last week, having taken nine girls to a camp in Karns, and there were several Knoxville-area Catholics helping run the camp. Talking with them reminded me of my days at the ETC. I googled you when I got home and found your blog. I've thought of you and your lovely wife several times over the years. It looks as if you are both doing well. Jeff and I live just outside of Nashville with our three children and have a great life. I homeschool our children, so the only writing I do nowadays is on my very neglected blog and my annual Christmas letter. I still remember many of the things you taught me about journalism, but now I just use it to critique what passes for journalism in some of the media today. But that is a discussion for another day. Looking forward to reading more of your blog. Take care, Lori
