Jason Miller
In the guest room of a guest house on an upstate country property we are designing, we decided to adopt a picnic theme. We enlarged pictures of a very odd garden gnome mowing the lawn and tending his vegetable garden. The images are just off kilter enough to make me smile. The clear bucket light fixtures over the night tables are filled with plastic ants and the floor to ceiling curtains that cover an entire wall of the room are made of red and white picnic blankets.
When stumbling upon Jason Miller’s "I was here table" at The Future Perfect, it was one of those fun moments when you know you have found just the right piece for the right place. These tables are made from plastic lumber which is a material made from 100 percent post-consumer waste. These are delightfully dorky tables that have initials carved into them. Miller actually used graffiti that he found on local NYC table tops and park benches. Brilliant!
P.S. Thanks for your help in finding some that were in stock this week, Jason.
