Bertjan Pots Old Fruit lamps

Got any old gourds lying around? Dutch design genius Bertjan Pots did. He made these absolutely incredible lights. This is so brilliant, I am just going to stop right here. Nothing more to say.

Wow, I didn't realize at first that these lamps were made of gourds till I started reading....I think it's really amazing how someone can look at something so simple and turn it into a piece of practical art.
