Super shiny

February 20, 2010

Except for gold jewelry which I LOVE, I have always had a sort of adverse reaction to warm-toned metals. Brass, bronze, and copper? Mmm, not so much.  But within the last year or so, I have been more and more attracted to these shiny, warm tones.

I keep on coming across pieces that leave me speechless, and I am feeling the need to share. We are designing a room right now using golds and warm greys, and if you happen to read my blog religiously (which, of course, I think you should be doing), you might remember a very large gold platter I bought over Christmas. So I am sharing a piece that I discovered on 1st Dibs available through JF Chen. I should also mention that it’s just one of many crazy-cool pieces. The only concern is that the credenza looks a bit smudgy on the front. I hope it’s not one of those high maintenance pieces.

Here is the info:
New parchment and cut-out brass front credenza with four doors and interior shelf; measurements height: 35.5 in depth: 20 in width/length: 8 ft. 1 in.
