Coffee Tables

October 13, 2008

Finding the right coffee table for a space can be tricky sometimes. Sofas and chairs create negative space that must be filled in perfectly with a coffee table that is just the right size and shape. A table that is too small can look really disproportionate and one that is too big can make the space look overcrowded. Shape is so important, as well, since everyone must have a place to put down their martini glasses!

I am not a very "woody" person, but I am attracted to things that look organic and natural, especially if they have a nice thick layer of white finish poured over them. So these tables I saw at DDC would work in a lot of settings for me. I love the varying heights and also the fact that you can spread them out to fill that negative space in an oh-so positive way.
