Planet Little Kids Furniture by Piet Boon

Dont talk to me about bedding this week; I have had it! I have been scouting for some fresh fun bedding for a kid’s room and I am coming up "snake eyes." Would somebody other than Dwell or the other usual suspects please come up with something new!

I think I might be going with Utility Canvas and I do have to say that I absolutely love utility for its fresh clean no-nonsense approach, but it’s not what I originally had in mind. Enough venting…

In my searching, I did come across some really fantastic kid’s furniture by Dutch designer Piet Boon. He is a household name in Holland and is getting plenty of exposure here in the U.S., too. I like some of his stuff, but I have to confess, although I think his designs are solid, I am not a huge fan. His furniture line for Planet Little Kids Furniture, however, is beyond fantastic. Perfectly proportioned to look just a little chunky and awkward–it’s just really great.
