I came across this innovative, fun German company called schubLaden. I love seeing recycled furniture that is really clever fresh and modern. These delightful pieces remind me of stark modern meets junk yard. I have always had a fascination with drawers and have picked up plenty from New York City streets.

I once had an incredible collage of vintage drawers all puzzled together on a wall and it made a beautiful wall-hung bookcase. I love that the insides of vintage drawers hold fascinating little clues into unknown people’s lives–ink stains, unknown markings, or a paper clip jammed into the drawer side. These furniture pieces feel really special.
