Paola Lenti

July 18, 2009

A couple of weeks ago I was chatting to Cindy Allen on the phone and we got to talking about Paola Lenti. Our conversation inspired me to hop off my chair, onto my bike, and go look at the Paola Lenti furniture line so prominently featured at Karkula in Tribeca.

What is so incredibly amazing about this line is the texture, the scale, and the comfort of the pieces. The thick woven fabric reminds me of challah bread. This is both for indoor and outdoor use and its really remarkable how much the outdoor furniture looks like indoor furniture.

They use cleverly engineered materials that can withstand the elements. I dont think I have ever been quite as excited about a line of outdoor furniture as this. Not only that, but when I looked at the color swatch options, I got that giddy feeling in my stomach like when I was a kid and opened a box of crayons–the possibilities are endless!
