UM Project for The Station

As promised, here is some more work by the fabulous Francois Chambard of UM Project (UM stands for users and makers).
UM Project designed this space for The Station, an animation studio in New York. The combination of stark white and warm-wood tones and colors gives this studio an incredible feel. It’s clean and organized without feeling sterile which is all very important when considering the amount of time one spends at "the office."

“Creating new full-service production studios is a rare opportunity that required a new kind of design approach,” comments François Chambard at UM. UM goes beyond just designing a space, they create a strong concept and then go about designing and fabricating every single element.

The remarkable thing about the way Francois designs is evident in the details; his design is strong, clean, and modern yet he seems to throw in detailing that is reminiscent of a vintage Braun radio from the 1950’s and it’s exactly that, which gives this space a very unique quirky feel.
