Lindsey Adelman Designs

March 25, 2009

Last year as I walked through ICFF, I was really struck by the beauty of a very simple booth–simple but stunningly beautiful. Lindsey Adelman’s light fixtures move me in a way that is hard to describe. So much so that the only way to describe it is to go into detail about that strange sensation I get inside my inner core that makes me feel giddy. Her booth was made up of simple white walls with thousands of overlapping gold stickers and gorgeous organic drawings of glass bubbles.

Yesterday I was sitting down with my friend Malcolm Hill (a master of organic form) and I expressed to him forms and shapes that excite me (we are working on a mural for a bathroom). I think I will send this along to him as inspiration because those bubbles she drew on the wall are exciting indeed. I wonder what she will do this year.
