The Dunderheads Inspire!

Inspiration can come from the most unexpected places. I bought a book for my girls called The Dunderheads by Paul Fleishman and illustrated by David Roberts. This story tells the tale of a class of kids who are in the unfortunate situation of having the most horrible teacher imaginable, Miss Breakbone.

Miss Breakbone, who is evil to the core, confiscates a student’s stuffed cat. This unlikely cast of uber-talented kids use their unique talents (much like in the movie Oceans Eleven), to steal back the toy from Miss Breakbone’s house. It’s a fun story, but truth be told, I bought this book because of its illustrations. David Roberts has an incredible eye for fashion and interiors!
