Pol's Potten

August 3, 2009

My fav magazine? Interior Design, of course! I have a couple of different ones that vie for second. One of them is a Dutch magazine called VT Wonen. For the many years I have been reading the magazine, I always notice that a lot of great stuff comes from a place called Pol’s Potten (Pol’s Pots). I had never been to this store since it is located a little out of the city center in Amsterdam, but on this visit I was determined to make it my first stop. I was so thrilled to be able to feast my eyes on all their fabulous things. The store is housed in an old warehouse and there are fun pops of color and craziness throughout the store. Great innovative products, ceramics, wood, metal, and lacquer, but they also carry a full line of furnishings from well known companies, like Gelderland, Verzelloni, and Artifor.

These lights are giant; my cousin Justina like a kid in a candy store

Amazing ceramics and pillows from Gewoon; red anyone?

Loved this turquoise ceramic vase; dog/watering can ceramic delight

lacquer, wood, and exaggerated scale

Handmande pillows; love this gorgeous vignette in the store for its color, texture, and contrast
