Takeshi Miyakawa

Interior by Ghislaine Viñas Interior Design, Photo by Hallie Burton. Wedge table by Takeshi Miyakawa.

A couple of years ago, I was on the hunt for a desk. I was creating a space off a living room that was an office. I wanted to find something that was sculptural and elegant, and was delighted to discover Brooklyn designer Takeshi Miyakawa. This is the Wedge table made of maple and lacquer. The craftmanship is impeccable. I am very drawn to the faceted underbelly of the table.

The second piece that I would like to share is a piece called Affordable Housing—brilliant!

Thanks for turning me onto this designer. I just started my own design blog and am planning to feature some of his other pieces. I'd love for you to view my blog and tell me what you think.... I'm interested in contacting other contemporary minded souls. www.leslieharrisinteriordesign.blogspot.com

Hello Ford - thanks for your comment. Yes, he is a really gifted designer. I saw this table for the first time at M @ Mercer- a showroom that is no longer around I believe.
