Box Series Portraits

Since I was talking about art and family portraits, I thought I would share an artist who has taken portraits to another level: Coke Wisdom O’ Neal. My client Paige (who owns Mixed Greens Gallery, which represents Coke Wisdom O’ Neals) has a portrait of her family in a giant plywood box that I have always admired.

"He has done a series of these portraits. The Box, a 22-foot tall wooden box, was originally constructed and installated in Manhattan (2005). Used by O’Neal for his "Box Series" portraits, it was later installed in Queens (2006), and Texas (2008)."
