Wishing You a Big Fat 2010!

January 2, 2010

Ever since I met my husband, Jaime, he has been designing all sorts of cards for me, our friends, my girls, and annually for the holidays. I have a box filled to the brim with beautiful cards he has created starting with sweet romantic ones while we were dating to this one that he designed this month.

Last year our card had a lemony theme with the message about making lemonade if life dealt you lemons. This year I feel confident that 2010 is going to be a good one and so this year our card says "Wishing you a big fat twenty-ten."

This is the time of year when you are supposed to look back on the last 365.25 days, assess what kind of year it has been, and start making resolutions for the next year. They’re never easy to put into a sentence or paragraph, so I will spare you my essay accounting the ups and downs of my year and spare you my new years resolutions (I never keep them anyway; if I did, I would be skinny!).

I will, however, say that it’s been a good one for work and family and fun and I am immensely grateful to my clients, colleagues, family, and friends. A very, very special thank you to my assistant Vané who does so much to make the projects we work on a success, not only on a creative level, but logistically as well. My husband says that working for me is like "trying to hit a moving target," and so I thank Vané even more for being able to hit a bullseye 99 percent of the time.

Thanks also to my interns this year Karina, Sophie, and Andrea for all their hard work. It’s been a fun year and I am keeping my fingers crossed that 2010 is going to be even better.
