Tjep for VilaSofa
March 4, 2009

This is a store by a Dutch design company called Tjep. Tjep designed the space for a new store called VilaSofa which is a relatively inexpensive furniture brand where you can be guaranteed a 48-hour delivery time. Tjep says they designed the space like a warehouse to convey the idea of "a warehouse as a metaphor for speed." Sounds a bit like Ikea, no? While I am not particulary impressed by the VilaSofa line per se, the design really caught my eye. What I think is really brilliant is that they actually have moveable cash registers that are little mobile cashing stations--so fun. I LOVE IT.
