Proud Moments

About a year ago, a loft I designed was part of a loft tour called the Tribeca Loft Tour that raises money for Duane Park right here in my neck of the woods.
A couple of months after the tour, I got a a call from a lovely couple who wanted to discuss helping them with the interior of their loft.
I have LOTS of rooms that I have designed that I love and call my favorites and this is definitely one of them. The clients had seen some murals that I had done for other clients and really liked the idea of doing a photo mural in their own bedroom. I told them that I loved the idea, and because they are both creative people with a vision, I told them that I wanted them to select an image that they loved. They showed me rain forests, and rain showers and water and deserts and then they showed me this milk image, and all of a sudden, I felt that I did not want them to have the freedom to pick the image anymore, because it just HAD to be this. The second I saw the image I imagined the all white room, the drop lights and just the whole vibe of the room. My clients found the bed (Patricia Urquiola for B&B) and I had to agree that this was the perfect bed for the room.
It is so unbelievably gratifying to work with clients who are willing to take some chances because with clients like these, I believe that I am able to produce some of my proudest moments.
Thank you Jill and Alan!
