The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) recently announced its 2015 National Honors recipients, representing the industry’s leaders who have demonstrated significant engagement and commitment to their local Chapters and communities. The list of recipients includes industry partners, chapters, ASID members and design professionals at the local or regional level and recognizes contributions to the interior design profession in several key categories.

“The awards were established to recognize those who are going above and beyond at the chapter level,” says Randy Fiser, ASID CEO. “We consider them champions and contributors, and we have developed an award for each area of membership—Medalist, Educator Medalist, Lifetime, and Industry Partner. ASID is committed to community service and encourages all of our members to participate in pro bono projects. The Chapter Community Service award was developed from this commitment.”

This year’s panel of judges included Patrick Schmidt, FASID, RID, senior interior designer, J. Baker Interiors ; Duval Acker, ASID, CMKBD, Houzz ; and Kia Witherspoon, Allied ASID, president, Determined by Design .
