Sponsored Content: The UrbanShade® by MechoSystems

The UrbanShade® family has expanded its versatility to include a two-shade-band system—the UrbanShade Double Bracket. One bracket holds two individual tubes with two shade bands, eliminating the need for two separate brackets and decreasing installation costs. The system’s ultra low-profile configuration allows two large, 8-ft.-wide by up to 10-ft.-high (2.4 x 3m) shades to be mounted in a 5-1/4 x 5-1/4 in. (13.2 x 13.2cm) footprint.

The UrbanShade Double-Bracket System accommodates any combination of (1) two motorized, (2) two manual, or (3) one motorized and one manual shade. The system darkens a room for maximum privacy or allows outdoor views with solar protection by raising only the opaque shadecloth. Also available for installation is a convertible system for future manual-to-motorized upgrades.

The system operates with wired low-voltage motors, battery-powered motors, or manually. It is available in a variety of colors or shadecloth-wrapped to match the shades. UrbanShade Double can be completed with MechoSystems’ square fascia, or with radius fascia for a softer look.

MechoSystems has set a standard for drapery systems with its sleek, innovative solution for low-voltage motorized draperies. The WhisperTrac® 3000 system is, actually, whisper-quiet and curves to the industry’s tightest curve—an 8-in. (20cm) radius. Suitable for residential, hotel, and corporate applications, it gets plugged into a standard wall outlet.

If a more powerful drapery system is required, quiet operation need not be sacrificed. The WhisperTrac® 3020HD is the quietest drapery-track system in the world for its size and power. With it, draperies can be drawn over 58 ft. (18m) wide. This heavy-duty motor holds up to 330 lbs. (150kg) of drapery weight on straight tracks. For extra-heavy draperies, a tandem-motor option is available.

A more-economical, medium-duty motor alternative is the WhisperTrac® 3032MD. This system quietly runs without over-running voice levels. It holds up to 88 lbs. (40kg) on straight-track draperies up to 32-ft. (9.8m) wide and curves to an 8-in. (20cm) radius.

All WhisperTrac drapery systems operate with a decorator-style compatible paddle switch, a two- or four-button IQ® switch, a 15-channel IR (infrared) remote controller, or an RF (radio-frequency) receiver and a wireless wall switch or transmitter. Symmetrical gear sets provide universal mounts for motor placement on either track end. Each model can be daisy-chained with local and/or master controls and easily interfaces with 3rd-party A/V, lighting, and automated-control systems. IP addressing or RS232 programming via a MechoSystems’ IQ/485® network-interface accessory are additional possibilities.  www.mechosystems.com
