    BIFMA Leadership Conference Focuses on Creativity

    In only a few weeks, The Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer’s Association (BIFMA) will hold its annual 360º Leadership Conference in Fort Meyers, Florida. From January 28-30 at the Sanibel Harbor Marriott Resort & Spa, leading furniture manufacturers will converge to discuss the influences and perspectives on their markets. “This year our focus is on creativity and we have a world-class speaker line-up,” says Tom Reardon, BIFMA executive director. “It’s going to be a fascinating few days.”

    The intense two-day agenda is tightly packed with speakers, notably award winning graphic designer, Michael Bierut; Accidental Creative CEO Todd Henry; best-selling author Steve Johnson; inventor Ray Kurzweil; green building expert Jason McLennan; and business consultant Paul Pendergrass. The conference delivers on its promise of serious discourse as stated on its Welcome page: No vendor showcases, no golf outings — instead, the exploration of exceedingly smart content with exceedingly smart people serious about discussing, improving, and implementing ideas.

    “BIFMA members are constantly thinking about how to create workplaces that provide comfort, convenience, and beauty that help people be more productive, healthy, and satisfied,” says BIFMA’s Reardon. "Each year, during the annual BIFMA Leadership Conference, we learn from each other and from our invited guests, who bring vital outside perspectives that we may not encounter in our day-to-day business.”
