To launch his latest lighting element Can Can in partnership with Flos, whimsical Dutch designer Marcel Wanders and Can Can's exclusive online lighting retailer YLighting.com held the Pattern Play Design Contest last fall for which entrants were asked to submit offbeat applications of the Can Can’s inner lighting pattern. Having received hundreds of submissions from around the globe, Wanders, along with Flos CEO Piero Gandini and YLighting.com CEO Sean Callahan, recently selected the competition’s top three winning entries and five runners up. The winners will be awarded with a monetary prize and their very own Can Can pendant light, while the runners up will also receive Can Can fixtures. See below for the winning entries.
