Spotted on Instagram: 11 Small Spaces

Interior Design hosts a weekly photo contest on Instagram called #idpicks. Each Wednesday, we announce a new theme and ask our followers to tag their images with our hashtag. Here, we share the submissions that caught our eye. Make sure to check our Instagram account, @interiordesignmag, for the next topic and a chance to be featured!

This week, we asked to see images of small spaces, like this NYC micro-hotel by AvroKO:

Below, some of the submissions we loved:

Brent Comber’s Shattered Light wallpaper in a custom emerald colour, designed in #collaboration with Rollout, as re-imagined by designer Aly Velji. This was part of Velji’s #FacetedFantasy dining concept for the charity event, #DinnerxDesign that took place at the Alberta College of Art and Design. Shattered Light wallpaper is based on a photograph of the original LED light embedded wood #installation by the artist, who is known for creating large and #vivid constructions made with salvaged wood pieces from west coast forests. The imagery itself hints at alternate possibilities, appearing as a disjointed collection of shapes and #light, it is a pattern broken to reveal hidden light.
