For its sixth edition, Design Days Dubai, which took place from March 14 to 17, moved to a new venue within the Dubai Design District. Focusing on contemporary creations, the only fair dedicated to collectible and limited-edition design in the Middle East and South Asia is an international platform for the region’s emerging designers.
Design collectors and lovers had the opportunity to discover and purchase a vast array of pieces of furniture, lighting, and design objects during the fair. Fifty exhibitors representing more than 125 designers from 39 countries attended the 2017 edition, with a record of 21 galleries and design studios from the UAE.
Emirati designer Aljoud Lootah, Indian studio Apical Reform, Jordanian architect and interior designer Jafar Dajani, and Dubai-based artist Michael Rice, were among this year’s debuts. International exhibitors such as Brodie Neill and Philip Michael Wolfson (UK), Coletivo Amor de Madre (Brazil), Dutch Creative Industry and OS & OOS (The Netherlands), Leclaireur (France and USA), and Todd Merrill (USA) also participated in this inspiring and innovative fair, which has become a key player on the global design scene.
