SPAN Architecture Debuts Carpet Collection With Crosby Street Studios

A shared fascination with innovation, as it applies to materials and technology, has brought SPAN Architecture and Crosby Street Studios together on frequent custom flooring projects. SPAN principals Karen Stonely, Peter Pelsinski, and Jean-Gabriel Neukomm have now developed a full collection with Crosby Street design director Liz Guarino. The eight made-to-order rugs of Through the Lens include Bokeh and Emulsion, which appear entirely free-form. Take a similar ground, add an abstracted floral, and you get Diffraction I. Most representational is Smoke Halo I, all aswirl. Each is hand-tufted in a proprietary nylon that delivers the shine and tactility of silk but offers superior durability and colorfastness.
