Editor’s Picks: 35 New Furniture Products

From mushroom-shaped side tables and flat-sawn oak shelving units to burnished metal coffee tables, here are 35 recent product introductions in the furniture category. Spazio Pontaccio invited furniture maestro Patricia Urquiola and graphic designer Federico Pepe to create pieces that would recover the symbolic value of stained glass windows with the Credenza collection. Seating system, sculpture…science project? In designing its newest products, the handmade, one-of-a-kind steel Gyro Stool and Gyro Rectangular, XYZ Integrated Architecture borrowed from the mechanical principles of gyroscopes, astrolabes, and planetariums. A tribute to Giò Ponti, Rodolfo Dordoni’s Giò side table for Poliform juxtaposes rational lines and calibrated slants of Spessart oak–finished wood composite with a lacquered-aluminum chest of drawers. All products have also been featured in Interior Design‘s recent Spring Market Tabloid.
