Stark PaintThe four year, across-the-drink collaboration between New York-based Stark and London-based color specialist David Oliver is finally complete. The long-awaited result, Stark Paint, colours by David Oliver, is now available in all 25 showrooms of the to-the-trade manufacturer of carpet, fabric, furniture, and wallcovering.

Stark's new paint division boasts a contemporary palette of 240 colors, all which are available in three finishes: Velvet Emulsion, Porcelain Shell, and Lacquer Gloss. The paints are all water-based with zero VOCs and meet the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED standards.

Oliver, design director of Paint & Paper Library, a London-based interiors company focused on the design and supply of paint, fabric, and wallpaper, also worked with Stark on a two-booklet system of paint charts that highlight the entire collection for designer's sample libraries.

"A paint line was the natural progression for Stark," says Arthur Phillips, executive director of the Stark wall covering division. "This has always been a desirable goal for us, and with Stark Paint, we can now continue to offer our clients a high quality designer product that is environmentally responsible."
