Design and fashion take center stage at the 92nd Street Y this fall with a discussion series dominated by boldfaced talents from the A&D community.
"Dialogues with Design Legends: Ron Arad," scheduled for September 17, coincides with the Israeli master's current retrospective at MoMA. On October 13, "Dissecting Arne Jacobsen" will feature journalist Michael Kaminer and architect Marc B. Spector, principal of the Spector Group, chatting about the Danish-modern legend's legacy. Former House & Garden architecture critic Martin Filler will moderate "Dialogues with Design Legends: Karim Rashid and Gaetano Pesce," a November 3 conversation with omnipresent product designer Rashid and the legendary Italian postmodernist Pesce.

Fashion takes a bow on October 4 when What Not to Wear co-host Stacy London dishes on body, weight, and appearance, and continues on October 21 as Glamour editor in chief Cindi Leive moderates a meeting between Isaac Mizrahi, Robin Givhan, and Ashley Olsen in "The Future of Women's Fashion." The arts also pirouette into the mix with "Sergei Diaghilev: The Man Who Changed the World of Art," a talk on the Russian ballet revolutionary and folk art champion on October 25.
The events, all of which are open to the public, take place at the historic Jewish community center's Upper East Side headquarters at 1395 Lexington Avenue. Tickets are $27, with the exception of the Arne Jacobsen event, which is $25.
