The first Armani Hotel won’t open until fall—in the Burj Dubai tower in the United Arab Emirates—but Giorgio Armani already has his sights set on his hometown for the second one. Currently sheathed in construction netting, the Armani Hotel Milano is set to open its 95 rooms in 2010 on top of an existing arcade of Armani shops and restaurants.
Maison Moschino will open this fall in an 1840 Milan depot, retaining its four-story neoclassic exterior while the interior is outfitted with 54 guest rooms and 15 suites in creative head Rossella Jardini’s surreal fairy tales. They include this ball-gown bed as well as forest and heart themes.
Matteo Thun & Partners draws on signature Missoni prints and iconic modern furnishings for the interiors of the Hotel Missoni. Its 129 rooms and seven suites debut in Edinburgh in June. By late summer, a 207-room property in Kuwait City will follow.
